Oncor Launches Conservation Campaign

Oncor Electric Delivery Co. said Friday that it launched its expanded “Take A Load Off, Texas” campaign at the downtown Dallas EarthFest.
This summer, Oncor will drive its yellow “Take A Load Off” van to sites across the state to educate people about ways to increase their energy efficiency. The company’s campaign includes a new texting game, “Are You Energy Smart,” which is designed to teach energy efficiency to middle-school students.
By the end of the year, the campaign will have reached 45 communities statewide.
“Oncor’s ‘Take A Load Off, Texas’ campaign continues to grow with recently announced incentive programs to encourage the growth of the solar energy industry in Texas and promote energy efficiency,” Michael Stockard, director of energy efficiency programs at Oncor, said. “This year, Oncor’s ‘Take A Load Off, Texas’ tour will make more tour stops in more towns and cities in Texas, offering a variety of opportunities for the public to learn about energy efficiency and Oncor’s programs.”
